The new door is larger than the original, which we found to be too small for such a large storage space. A plywood floor has been added - it is level and even with the chine. The wedge shaped space underneath is filled with expanding closed cell foam, which adds flotation. This is a huge space, it stays dry and is reasonably easy to access.

Obviously, the battery has been removed from it's original position.
