When folded out, the table is supported by a pivoting leg that is recessed into the outside table edge. The leg rests on a small cleat attached to the centerboard trunk. It's a great chart reading table when not used for cooking.

Because of the angles on the aft edge of the table, there is an optical illusion in that makes the table leaf appear to slope downward. It's actually flat (parallel to the main part).
