The ideas for upgrading the cockpit evolved over 2 years of sailing the P-19. Some additions, such as cockpit cushions, were obvious after one uncomfortable afternoon. Others, such as the traveler, started out as crazy ideas that slowly became reasonable. Over time, the various ideas evolved into a coherent plan to increase the comfort and functionality of the P-19 cockpit.
